Part two:
A Grand Back Garden
The Golf course side of the garden has a grand entrance as well. Set among huge old trees and landscape of the course, the home sets a few feet away from where golfers tee off.
Birch trees were used to hide neighbor’s homes without loosing the view of the course. The birch trees with their light branches – shelter and move slightly in the breeze,. They frame the home with out covering the beautiful architecture and add gracefulness to the garden.
Massive steps to the entrance are dramatic. We added a small bistro table for morning coffee and a tea cart for plants to shrink its size.
Plants chosen for this garden needed to conform to the golf course a few feet away and needed to blend in with the park like feeling of the course. . Varieties of Pittosporum, Iceberg roses, angel wing begonias and impatiens add a lush feel to the garden. A small lemon for the kitchen and even a few herbs were mixed in the garden to make it practical.
