After attending a bewaterwise lecture from the local water dept. Jo contacted me and asked for some ideas to cut back water usage while adding some interest to the garden. A dry river bed became the focal of the garden. The dry bed actually will direct water in the garden and allow for drainage in an area  of the garden that has had problems in the past- Low water plants add texture to the garden and are easy care.
