Cathy’s front garden is packed full of color! Lot’s of annuals and perennials line the new walkway and new front porch of this lovely Rossmoor home.

Not a greenthumb..(shhh…we do the maintenance for her!) …Cathy spends her time with a glass of ice tea and takes time to enjoy the bountiful color in her garden!

I have been scouring the nurseries for new varieties and odd plants to add to this seasons designs for clients. Some are old varieties such as Astible and new ones such as Willowy Pittosporum. Can’t wait to design them in your garden!

What is old is new again! Sydney’s back yard was typical Lakewood tract home– 50′s style. We took an old painted (red) patio and broke it up to make a new Urbanite patio with ground cover. New veggie boxes along with citrus and stone fruit were added. A potting shed and small seating area were adding to make this working garden pleasant to spend time in. Even a clothes line was added so Sydney can hang her clothes out to dry the old fashioned way. Just like my mom did in the 50′s.

Rainy Day Fever

Its another of our Rainy Saturdays in Sunny California. I am getting spring fever– can’t wait to get out into the garden! We have a few plans in the works and even are installing a new English Garden in Laguna Hills, Ca this next week . Look for postings soon.

Now is the time start thinking of what you would like to do in your garden. Whether is it is a garden clean up or a spot of color. Pop into your garden store and see what’s available.Or give us a call for details on a Quarterly Clean up for your garden.

Bulbs Bulbs Bulbs are everywhere, tulips, daffodils and hyacinth are in small pots ready to bloom.

Now is the time for bare root– fruit trees and roses!

This little garden some how supports annuals and perennials that go from full shade to sun.

If you are willing to try, I say try a plant and see if it works. Who knew a black eyed susan would grow along side a fuschia.
